Kennedy’s Initial Address Article

Inside the " Inaugural Address" (1961), John F. Kennedy suggests that the people of America, newly emancipated countries, and adversaries should reserve their dissimilarities, and interact for globe peace. Kennedy uses tropes and plans in order to motivate American visitors to do something, and other countries intended for world peace. Kennedy explicates his deliberation by using figurative diction, moving tone, and parallel syntax.

Kennedy uses figurative diction to bring attention to these key phrases that address his primary purpose of motivation to the people, and world peace. One element of figurative diction would be the rhetorical trope of your metaphor exposing his feelings of love. An example of a passionate metaphor would b paragraph 25, " The energy, the faith, the devotion which will we provide the undertaking will light our region and all who also serve that. And the shine from that flames can really light the world. " This metaphor that Kennedy provides is keen; it is implying that in the event that Americans placed in an effort, chances are they will " light out country and who provide it. " This will move at the heart strings (pathos) of american citizens and will inspire them to take action; so the " glow from that fire" can transform the world for the best. Another rhetorical trope can be personification. An example would be section 28, " With a good conscience our simply sure prize, with background the final assess of our actions, let us fo forth to acquire the land we love, asking His blessing, fantastic help, nevertheless knowing that here at earth The lord's work need to truly always be our own. " The personification of this quotation is that background is the last judge of our deeds; which addresses his purpose of motivating the Us citizens and people of the world to complete work of good deeds so that " The lord's work must truly always be our own. " The radical diction used in rhetorical tropes have addressed Kennedy's purpose of motivation to Americans and people of the world.
