Essay regarding Strengths and Weaknesses Ruler Lear

Talk about the strengths and weaknesses in the character Full Lear The smoothness of Ruler Lear is basically a destructive character through this play because of his weak points but he reveals a lot of strengths in character in acts 4 - 5 of the play. The weak points portrayed simply by Lear are his inability to see truth and his misunderstanding of love. His strengths happen to be his reconditioned optimism and his ability to turn into humble. Though Lear shows these advantages the problems his disadvantages cause override his confident change in persona. A central weakness of King Lear is his flaw penalized blind to reality. This flaw is displayed inside the exposition of the play when Lear banishes Cordelia while she will not confess her love to get him. He can blind to reality as a result of his irrational expectation of his children and this triggers him to react unreasonably to Cordelia's defiance. The blindness of this irrational actions is strong when Kent tries to reason with Lear stating " see better Lear and let me continue to remain/the blank of thine eye” and Lear that is blind to the reason banishes Kent also. The use of the words and phrases " see” and " eye” allows the audience to know direct links between Kent's speech as well as the idea of Lear's fatal flaw of being impaired. In addition to this, the word " better” plus the phrase " let me be the bare of thine eye” illustrate that Lear has shed his capacity to see truth clearly. This flaw is increasingly designed as Lear falls even more into madness and seems to lose his grasp on actuality. This loss of sight is illustrated to the target audience as Lear attempts to appeal to Regan's ‘good nature' which usually she essentially does not possess at this point. " No Regan thou shalt never have my curse/thy tender-hafted nature will not give” this individual states to her after aggressively criticizing Goneril. The sculpt of his speech to Regan can be inappropriately flattering and shows his desolation as he can be attempting to appeal to her sucursal feelings that individuals know Regan does not have got for Lear.
